The hotel was good value for money and had good clean modern feel
Relaxed friendly atmosphere Short driving distance to the peak district Food was lovely
Friendly staff cosy atmosphere would come again.
Staff were helpful and friendly especially nice to the children. We had 3 rooms as we are a large familly.
Not enough towels or pillows. And couldn't book in before 2pm
The price for B&B was amazing £35 on a late booking. The room was so big an roomy and I really like the walk in shower as opposed to a bath. Internet access very good and easy to set up.
The hotel was fresh and clean and although very simply furnished ( which I like) made it a very pleasant place. The bathroom was great with an excellent shower. Overall the clean simplicity but with everything you need for a stress free stay was there. Would recommend to anyone.
I thought that the breakfast was very good. A wide range if options. I was also pleasantly suprised with the bathrooms which were a great design.
The laminate flooring in the rooms made it feel very cold and basic.
The hotel is located just off the motorway so is easy to find and is perfect location to visit several places of interest
Our booking form from booking .com was not on their system properly we booked 2 rooms and only 1 was showing
it was ideal location for barnsley town and the toby carvery was next door
Modern building & decor, rooms clean and comfortable. Superb self service/buffet breakfast, plenty of choice, cereals, fruit, pastries, full English, teas, coffees etc (good quality produce/products)
Rooms too hot!!
Newish hotel, couldn't fault the facilities, staff and cleanliness of the place. Good value too.
It didn't particularly bother me, but there is an active railway line passing by the rear of the hotel. Ask for a room facing the front if you want to avoid this.
Well appointed hotel, excellent staff, handy for motorway, good value.
Good location with plenty of parking
Breakfasts everything was very greasy - food, serving spoons etc. Soup spoons laid out instead of cereal spoons, bacon was cold one day, plates were cold both days
Staff are great, excellent value for money too
i have family living in silkstone and my husband and i usually stay with you as it is aconvenient location and we have always enjoyed our stay
